Photos should be taken by an amateur photographer on the Palouse (broadly speaking the region of the northwestern US, encompassing parts of southeast Washington, north-central Idaho, and northeast Oregon).

Photos should not be digitally altered beyond basic adjustments to exposure, saturation, contrast, and cropping.

Photos will be judged on technical merit (focus, depth of field, color, use of light), composition, creativity, and overall visual impact by a panel of judges. Judges are two local artists and photographers and one photographer from outside our region.

Limit your total number of submissions to five photos with a maximum file size of 10 MB per photo.

Photographers retain full copyright to image and grant Palouse Audubon use of the photographs in not-for-profit media.
